Centralization and Lack of Innovation

The current EV charging infrastructure is dominated by a few large companies, resulting in a centralized and often monopolistic system. This centralization leads to high costs, limited access, and slow innovation. Many existing players are hesitant to adopt new technologies and business models, further stalling progress. This lack of standardization across connectors, protocols, and payment systems also complicates the user experience and limits cross-border usability.
